Terms of Use

Last updated: August 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of Taskly. Plain English, no tricks. If something is unclear, text (650) 223-5975.

The deal

By installing or using Taskly, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

Taskly is operated by Crystal Botham (“we,” “us”). The app and everything inside it (code, design, copy) belongs to us. You get to use it; you don’t own it.

Your account

If you create an account, you’re responsible for what happens under it. Keep your credentials safe. If you let someone else use your account, you’re on the hook for what they do.

You must be 13 years or older to use Taskly. If you’re under 18, you’ll need a parent or guardian’s permission. By creating an account, you’re confirming you meet these requirements.

Subscriptions

Taskly is currently free. Every feature in the app is included at no charge, and there is no paid subscription today. If we introduce an optional subscription in the future (“Taskly Pro”), the following rules will apply, and the core planner will stay fully usable without paying:

Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions are auto-renewable. Apple charges your Apple account at confirmation of purchase and each renewal period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You manage and cancel subscriptions in iPhone Settings under your Apple ID, in Subscriptions.

Refunds. Apple, not Taskly, handles billing and refunds for App Store subscriptions. Request refunds through reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t issue them on Apple’s behalf.

Pricing. Prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase. We may change prices in the future. When we do, the change applies to renewals, not to your current term, and you’ll see the new price clearly before any auto-renewal.

Your content

Tasks, subtasks, focus session labels, settings: anything you type or record in Taskly is yours. You retain all rights to it. Your content is backed up to your account on our servers (hosted by Supabase) so it can be restored on a new phone, and it is protected so only your signed-in account can read it. By using Taskly, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the app for you.

We never sell your content. We never share it with advertisers. We never use it to train AI models.

You’re responsible for what you put into Taskly. Don’t put anything illegal, infringing, or harmful to others into your tasks.

Acceptable use

Don’t do any of this:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
  • Use Taskly to harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Try to break into the backend or interfere with the service for other users
  • Resell or redistribute access to Taskly
  • Use Taskly in any way that violates a law you live under

We can suspend or terminate your account if you do any of these.

Not medical or mental-health advice

Taskly is a productivity tool. It is not a medical device, and it is not medical, mental-health, psychological, or therapeutic advice or treatment. Although Taskly is designed to be friendly to people with ADHD, it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent ADHD or any condition. Always consult a qualified professional for medical or mental-health concerns, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something in the app. You use Taskly at your own discretion and risk.

No warranties

Taskly is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it reliable, fast, and useful, but we can’t guarantee it will be available 100% of the time, free of bugs, or perfect for every use case. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Taskly. Our total liability for anything related to Taskly is capped at what you’ve paid us in the past twelve months, or $50, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations. In that case, the limitations apply only to the extent the law allows.

Termination

You can stop using Taskly anytime by deleting the app. You can permanently delete your account from Settings, then Delete Account inside the app. That deletes your account and synced content from our servers and clears your on-device data.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when reasonably possible.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, notify you inside the app or by email. Continuing to use Taskly after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

Apple’s standard EULA

Because Taskly is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s standard end-user license agreement also applies as a baseline, except where these terms set a stricter or more user-friendly rule. You can read Apple’s standard EULA at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligations regarding Taskly. If you have a problem with the app, text us at (650) 223-5975, not Apple.
